To Mount Batten from The A38.

1. At the large interchange on the A38 (Marsh Mills) take the exit marked City Centre A374 Kingsbridge (A379).

2. At the railway bridge over the road take the right hand lane posted A379 Plymstock, Kingsbridge.
|
3. Turn left at the traffic lights. Keep going, over the bridge.
|
4. At the roundabout turn right posted Plymstock.
|
5. At the Mc Donalds roundabout take the second exit into Pomphlett Road.
|
6. At the traffic lights turn right into Dean Cross Road, (not the pedestrian crossing lights).
|
7. At the next set of lights go straight on past the car dealers on your right and the Drake’s Drum on your left and keep going. The road twists and turns through Radford Dip and Hooe Green, past Turnchapel, and leads straight to Mount Batten.

8. As you come down into Mount Batten you will come to a roundabout,

Please follow these directions carefully, you will end up in the FREE car park and at the FREE pontoon.

THE DIVE BOAT PICK UP PONTOON, go straight on at the roundabout past all the buildings, IGNORING SIGNS FOR ‘DIVE CENTRE’, until you reach the MINI ROUNDABOUT RIGHT AT THE END OF THE ROAD the Free Public Car Park is on your right. The Public Pontoon (also used by the Water Taxi) can be seen on the other side of the car park wall, it’s the only pontoon with a roof! (If you end up in Plymouth Sound you went too far!)
